Lyofoam is a sterile polyurethane foam dressing used in the treatment of light to moderately exuding wounds, such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, post-operative and traumatic wound sites, burns, and skin grafts. Lyofoam has a hydrophilic, smooth wound contact surface and absorbs excess exudate to help minimize maceration. The other side of the dressing exhibits hydrophobic properties, helping prevent strike-through of blood and exudate.
